Design & objectives: To examine the effect of additional water and additional fertiliser on the abundance of Rhopalomyia californica galls on Baccharis pilularis and to follow the subsequent colonisation by parasitoids. There are six replicates each of three different treatments.

Each replicate consists of 7 plants: 1 copy of each of 7 genotypes.

Status: Planting of Baccharis in arrays completed ????. Gall midge colonisation tracked from July 1999 - June 2000.
