Bill Hooker reports that
Jack also went to Harvard and then Virginia for his Ph.D.
in English and then spent most of his career teaching at
American U. Cairo. Upon retirement a few years ago when he
found himself banned from property ownership in Egypt, he
moved to the South of France where he lives now.
There is a tribute to
him published a few years ago written by Jenny Jobbins and published in
Al-Ahram.
