 Join other incoming students and current students for a fun and casual pizza lunch. Food and drinks are free!

Life as a Physical
Science Major

1:00pm-3:00pm  375 LeConte Hall

 Get advice about courses, scheduling and resources available to Astronomy, Physics and EPS majors; hear from current students about life as a physical science major; learn the secret to doing well in your courses from professors and other students.

Professor Scavenger Hunt

3:00pm-4:30pm  375 LeConte Hall

This game will give you the opportunity to meet some faculty members as well as discover the ins and outs of the physics and astronomy buildings.

Lab Tours

4:30pm-6:00pm  375 LeConte Hall

Hear about ongoing research in the physical science departments, and visit some active research labs.

Barbecue

6:00pm-8:00pm  BBQ Pit
(Between LeConte and Birge)

Enjoy free hamburgers, hotdogs and much more (including vegetarian options) grilled up by SPS, while mingling with students and faculty. Food always tastes better when it is free!
