Second Stage is the next phase of Launch Day for continuing third-year and incoming transfer students who are physical science majors. It features several workshops designed to give these students an introduction to upper-division life in the physics, astronomy and EPS departments. Last years 2005 Second Stage event was very successful, with 27 students attending.
Check out the photo gallery from Second Stage 2005 to see just how much fun you could be having this year.
There are several events happening all afternoon and evening. You may choose to attend only the events of which you find most useful, but we highly encourage you to stay for the whole day. There is a lot of information, free food and awesome people to meet that you do not want to miss out on!
This event is hosted by the Society for Women in the Physical Sciences (SWPS) and supported by the National Science Foundation (NSF).
