The Replicac{i}on of Edward Iohnson Compl{ainan}t vnto the answere of the Lady Elizabeth Vere Countesse Dowager of Ox{en}ford Defendant

The sayd Complayn{an}t not Confessinge or acknowledging any the matters matteriall or effectuall in the said def{endan}t{es} answere to be true in such sorte mann{er} and forme as they be therein sett forth & declared, sayth That the sayd def{endan}t{es} answere is vncertaine and insufficient in the law to be replied vnto for diveres apparant causes & manifest imp{er}fections therein Conteined, the benefitt and advantage whereof Now and att all tymes hereafter vnto the said Compl{ain}t saued & reserued, the said Compl{ainan}t for Replicac{i}on therevnto replieth and sayth in all & every thing & thing{es} as before in his said Bill of Compl{ain}t he hath allredy sayd & doth and will averr maintaine and iustifie all and every the matteres in the sayd Bill of Complaint Conteined to be iust true Certaine and sufficient in the law to be answered vnto in such sorte mann{er} and forme as they (in and by the said Bill of Complaint) be most iustly planly [=plainly] & truly alleadged and sett forth. All w{hi}ch matteres the sayd Compl{ainan}t is and wilbee redye to averr and p{ro}ve as this hono{r}able Courte shall award and prayeth as formerlie in his Bill of Compl{ain}t hee hath alredye prayed.
