[4] Michael Grigge of the p{ar}ishe of St Gregory in Pawles churcheyard London Taylor aged 46 yeares or therabout{es} sworne and exam{ined} the 21 day of Aprill in the yeare aforsayd deposeth
1 That he knoweth the parties, \\the// Compl{ainan}t and the def{endan}t and he did know W{illia}m Ruswell deceased the Compl{ainan{t{es} late husband, [buf] but for his credite or ability what it was this dep{onen}t can say litle
3 2 That he remembreth that the sayd W{illia}m Ruswell was the def{endan}t{es} servant and Tayler, but furth{er} he cannot depose, of his owne knowledge, savinge by the report of the sayd W{illia}m [Russell] Ruswell himselfe, who hath affirmed and shewed this dep{onen}t by his book{es} of account{es} that he had taken vp wares and stuffes vpon his owne credite, for the def{endan}t and by his appoyntm{en}t for the [.] p{ar}ticularity{es} wherof he referreth himselfe to the sayd book{es} of account{es} wherein [in] \\yt// appeareth, that the def{endan}t was indebted vnto him both for makinge of apparrell, [and] for the def{endan}t and his servant{es}, and for some stuffes also w{hi}ch he had taken vp of his credite.
4 5 That he can say litle certen or materiall to these interr{ogatories} more than this that he verily thinketh in his conscience that in the book of the said W{illia}m Ruswell{es} account{es} and reckoning{es} now shewed to him att the tyme of this his examinac{i}on ther are many [due] debt{es} w{hi}ch are \\due to the Compl{ainan}t// in equity to be allowed, and do yet remayne vndischardged for any thinge he knoweth or can coniecture
