[8] Israell Amice of Chestenhunt in the County of Hartf{ordshire} gentl{eman} aged 56 yeares or therabout{es} sworne and exam{ined} the 14 of May in the yeare aforesayd

1 That he very well knoweth the p{ar}ties the Compl{ainan}t and the def{endan}t, and did knowe W{illia}m Ruswell deceased the Compl{ainan}t{es} husband, but whether he could have taken or did take any wares vpon his Credite or not he knoweth not /

3, 2 That he remembreth that the sayd W{illia}m Ruswell was the def{endan}t{es} Tayler, and he hath hearde him saye that the def{endan}t was indebted vnto him for the makinge of some apparell for his lordshipp and for so{m}me of his servant{es} by his lordshipps appoyntm{en}t ^\\and he did often very earnestly speake vnto this dep{onen}t to move the def{endan}t for the paym{en}t of [the] his debt// but how much the def{endan}t ought him vpon those or any other occasions he knoweth not nor more can say to these interr{ogatories}

4, 5 He can say nothinge for [th] the debt{es} that grewe due from the def{endan}t to the sayd W{illia}m Ruswell ^\\were// before the tyme that this dep{onen}t became the def{endan}t{es} servant, and this dep{onen}t never made nor medled in the accountes of those debt{es}.
