moi    My name is Ange Strom-Weber and I'm a fourth year grad student in Linguistics at UC Berkeley.   Right now I live in the northside of Berkeley; I was born in NYC and have lived in Paris, London, Tokyo, Singapore, Little Compton RI and Providence.   I'm one of the few people I know who has absolutely no interest in travel, except the kind where you go to some kind of tropical paradise and stay in the hotel the entire time.

I love being the biggest nerd possible.   I've always been baffled when a bunch of people go out on a Friday night and someone says "OK, no talking about linguistics tonight!" because what else would you ever want to talk about?   When there is no one around to talk about lingusitics, I keep myself busy with:

My family is extremely important to me.   My brother Ben is a freshman at Syracuse University, studying areospace-engineering.   My brother Kai is a senior at the Wheeler School in RI (he's the one who drew the picture on the left), and my sister Hanna is a junior.   My dad lives in NYC and works for ING Americas; my mom is in Providence and is planning to go back for a PhD in anthropology.
