Center for Multicultural Health
The Center for Multicultural Health (CMH) is a major initiative of the UC Berkeley School of Public Health’s Center for Public Health Practice. In collaboration with community partners, students, and faculty, CMH provides practice-based teaching, projects, training, technical assistance and applied research. Through these activities, CMH aims to strengthen the capacity of current and future health professionals and organizations to reduce health inequities and provide quality service to multicultural communities.
OUR MISSION
To improve the health status and well being of diverse populations in the Bay Area and throughout California by collaborating with community and academic partners in practice-based initiatives and research to:
- Reduce health inequities
- Improve multicultural and linguistic competence
- Expand the number of well trained, diverse public health leaders and professionals
- Build and develop community capacity
- Increase access to care
