Two 7- 8 page papers, and about 20 pages of difficult reading per week. Attendance at weekly discussion section.
Prerequisites:History of Modern Philosophy (25B) or an equivalent course is required. It would also help to take Searle’s Philosophy of Mind (132) and/or to have taken Kant (178).
