These are some of the branches of the Woburn, MA TIDD clan. Those marked AWT-X are according to Arthur Warren Tidd's research from about 1930 - 1960. Others have been added by Robert Tidd according to information shared with the "TIDD clan" email group from 1996 - 1999. You can send the group (about 35 of us) email at tiddclan1@listlink.berkeley.edu. To join, email Bob at the bottom of this page. See also claninfo.html.
The connection of the Ohio TIDDs to the MA TIDDs through James 2, son of John 1 is now thought to be fictitious.
In addition, there are at least two other known TIDD immigrants from England. John 2 who helped found the town of Exeter(?), NH is one. The VA TIDDs are thought to descend from another immigrant, ____ TIDD, who is first mentioned in ____, NY.
Generations of the Woburn, MA TIDDs from an AWT worksheet "Oct 1934".
This is just a start. I'll be adding more shortly. If you know where you fit in, please send me email and I'll add you.
