Welcome to my website! Here you
can find information about me, including my curriculum
vitae as well as various research-related resources and
teaching-related materials. My research focuses on constructivist international relations theory and how religious ideas shape norms. My dissertation examines conflicts between Roman Catholic teachings on family planning and norms enshrined in international legal instruments such as the Cairo Program of Action. I study how different actors at the domestic level interpret and contest norms through the lens of religious ideas. Between January and June 2008, I am in the Philippines conducting field research as a Visiting Fellow at Ateneo de Manila University's Center for Asian Studies. |
