*It is not clear precisely why the authors limited Items 2-7 to "professional" activities.  This would seem to rule out the possibility that students might experience flow when doing their work -- and after all, "going to school" is "work".  So, in the American context, I would eliminate Question 1 and modify the prompt so that the stem for Items 2-7 reads "When you are working or studying...". 

Students in Psychology 129 or Cognitive Science 102 who complete the SFPQ should answer "Yes" to Question 1, and then treat Items 2-7 as referring to either work or school, whichever actively engages them more.
