Spice Part and Model Files

The evaluation version of PSpice has a small selection of generic active components. Because our schematics use specific active components unknown to the evaluation version, you must download the following two files to use any of our schematics containing active components.

The files contain the following components:

Download both of these files directly to your disk; don't pass them through an editor first. (In Netscape, hold the shift key down when you click on the files to force the files to be saved to the disk.) Save both files to the PSpice directory "\lib\". The MicroSim "Schematics" program must be made aware of these files. Pull down the Options - Editor Configuration - Library Settings menu, and then use Browse to find the BSC.slb file and then ADD* to add it to the library list. After successfully completing this operation, your screen should look something like this:

Next add bsc.lib to the models known to PSpice by pulling down the Analysis - Library and Include Files menu, and then use Browse to find the BSC.lib file and then ADD Library* to add it to the file list. After successfully completing this operation, your screen should look something like this:

You may have to restart the program to get PSpice to recognize your parts. The first time you simulate a circuit containing the new parts, you may get a warning message. This message can be ignored.
