This program demonstrates some important ideas about the "Q" or quality of a damped harmonic oscillator. Students should be familiar in a general way with the construction and behavior of an "RLC" circuit. A ringing damped harmonic oscillator is easily seen as a single frequency sine wave multiplied by a decaying "envelope" function. An equivalent, if less obvious, description is a sum of many sine waves with no multiplying envelope function. This program attempts to elucidate the second description.
