Romance Philology. The Research Center for Romance Studies is the natural outgrowth of the journal Romance Philology, which in 1997 celebrated its fiftieth year of publication with the University of California Press. In the half century of its publication, Romance Philology established an international reputation as one of the most prestigious journals dedicated to the linguistic history and medieval literature of the Romance languages. Setting the journal within the larger framework of the Research Center reaffirms the primary role of the journal in disseminating research to an international community of scholars.

In July 1998, publication of Romance Philology was transferred to the prestigious European publisher Brepols. Effective with volume 52 (1998-1999), Romance Philology appears twice a year (Fall and Spring issues), with approximately 280 pages per issue. There will be no increase in the subscription price in the transitional year (the annual subscription rate is $46.00 to individuals, $116.00 to institutions).

For institutional subscriptions to Romance Philology write, fax or e-mail to the address given below. All major credit cards accepted.
