Although
recent rhetoric from the Bush and Chávez administrations
suggests that the relationship between the U.S. and Venezuela
is tense, Venezuela remains one of the top exporters of petroleum
and crude oil to the United States. Ambassador Alvarez Herrera
will discuss how close trade relations and the Bolivarian
Revolution influence the U.S.-Venezuela relationship.
