for Social Science Units
CSM operates a UNIX computing facility in the Survey Research Center building at 2538 Channing Way. This facility provides computing and consultative services related to the collection, management and analysis of survey or questionnaire-type data. Primary emphasis is placed on applications software developed by CSM, however, a variety of standard packages and network services are available. Users of CSM's UNIX facility also have access to public data sets provided by UCDATA, the University of California's principal archive of computerized social science data and information. Faculty and students can get more information about computer access and accounts from CSM Software Support Services at (510) 642-6563 or support@csm.berkeley.edu
